The Company Liée sarl is recruiting a freight forwarder for an import and export company whose duty will be to oversee the shipment of the company's merchandise to various countries in which it makes deliveries.
Responsibilities- Organize the shipment of goods
- Manage customs clearance procedures, transport documents and insurance paperwork
- Track the movement of freight
- Handle payments and transactions processing
- Coordinate with various departments such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, claims network management and account management to ensure proper completion of all aspects of a shipment
- Check that shipments are delivered as planned and resolve any issues
- Negotiate with vendors, agent partners and network offices to settle discrepancies.
- Negotiate terms of carriage with carriers and booking cargo space
- Manage and monitor customer expectations and requests effectively
