Job Description

The Company 
A company that specializes in the importation of industrial products is looking for an Importation Officer whose duties will be to ensure the smooth execution of import procedures of products and its availability on the market.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with chinese and non-chinese suppliers
  • Organize import operations and ensure that they are carried out in an effective and efficient manner
  • Manage and develop overseas supplier relationships and lead product sourcing and expansion
  • Negotiate with international and/or local freight forwarders
  • Handle all stages of the import from preparing purchase orders to reviewing and processing invoices
  • Requisition all customs clearance documents from suppliers and forward them to shipping agents
  • Observe and formulate records of import-related activities
  • Administer and direct the transport of goods
  • Perform the roles of a negotiator
  • Ensure timely and proper delivery of all products
  • Ensure the safety and correctness of all products as well as ensuring that functional and operational pricing measures are adopted for delivery or transfer
  • Create, evaluate and regenerate documented agreements as needed
  • Assume the role of internal product transfer, marketing and ensure that these are carried out in accordance with the regulations and policies in force
  • Assist in formulating commercial freight quotes for clients and executing freight booking transactions with movers or carriers
  • Take charge of all import purchases, pricing and keep abreast of various customs rules, policies and programs while maintaining compliance with sector modulations

Requirements
  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Administration or its equivalent 

Professional Experience
  • Two or three years work experience in a related field.
