Managing Director

The Company 
Our client is a reputable Microfinance Bank, currently seeking to put into the helms of affairs a seasoned Managing Director to provide strategic leadership, drive development and growth and the control of the entire management functions of the institution.

Responsibilities

In direct collaboration with the Board of Directors and serving as its official representative of the entire affairs of the institutiion, your mission will include but not limited to,

• Developing and implementing the microfinance's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
• Producing for review by the Board of Directors, monthly and quarterly financial and narrative reports on activity targets and management accounts
• Monitoring and optimising budgets, financial forecasts, and revenue
• Setting company-wide KPI’s to gauge company performance
• Delegating responsibilities and supervising the work of executives and providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
• Preparing a corporate plan and annual business plan and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
• Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated
• Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations
• Liaising with investors, keeping them up to date with developments
• Leading board meetings and shareholder conferences
• Working closely with the sales team on sales strategy and approach to winning banking customers and investors
• Maintaining good relationship with the government and ensuring the microfinance is in compliance with all relevant laws, statutes, and regulations
• Fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration throughout the business
• Actively improving the microfinance operations by developing and making recommendations, creating innovative training methods, cutting costs and working more efficiently
• Developing strategies to mobilize financial resources for the growth of the microfinance
• Facilitating the development of the staff, skills and knowledge
•  Coordinating and providing direct supervision of all departments, be it the Finance and Administration Department, Training and Research, Credit/ Loans etc
