The Company 
A company in the hospitality sector seeks to engage a Pastry Chef skilled in viennese pasteries.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare quality viennoiseries and maintain recipes for consistency 
  • Develop recipes and menu items that control food cost and allows for variety and creativity
  • Manage quality, cost, wastage and distribution of all foods and other expenses for assigned operation
  • Maintain cleanliness and the adherence to safety and health regulations
  • Plan and prepare for all viennoiserie needs including holiday, seasonal, special and upcoming events

Requirements
  •  Recognized Certificate or Diploma in Culinary/ Pastry Arts or its equivalent 
Professional Experience
  • Two years work experience in a related field.

Skills & Aptitude
  • Skilled in croissant recipes, bun, rolling dough for croissants, puff pastry, pull dough and roll croissants
  • Use of the rolling mill and the oven
  • Good creative skills for presentation of viennese pastry arts
  • Good interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Financial acumen, budgetary and food control practices
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately analyze current performance trends and identify leading indicators for future trends
  • Ability to enhance profitability, sustainability and creativity across all channels in alignment with business strategy
  • Great skill set in presentation of deluxe viennoiseries
